History of Macroth: Macroth was once a lush a beautiful island filled with forests and jungles. Its main population is the Kythe, a race of humanoid leopard-like creatures. At an unknown date, an army of 1,000 evil men that came to expand their already established empire discovered Macroth. Not only did they discover the Kythe and newer wild animals, but discovered an ancient structure inside the Central Mountain, the tallest mountain on Macroth and in the very center of the continent. This mountain appeared artificial in a way, considering its shape. Inside the mountain was a vault that contained literally 100,000 pieces of gold, diamonds, pearls, and other vast treasures. Beyond the vault was a locked gate that could not be opened and was indestructible to most human weapons there are. Once the humans discovered this vault, the Kythe attacked them, but were beaten back. The humans then began to industrialize the island, cutting and burning down forests and jungles, and had enslaved the Kythe. Several fortresses and towns were built around the once green and beautiful mountains. Soon after, around 600 men left the island to expand the Empire further; it was then the Kythe had their chance. The Kythes soon revolted and swarmed over the human’s dark fortresses, winning mostly due to their numbers. The evil men used a scorched earth tactic against the Kythes, using catapults to destroy the fortresses the Kythes had captured, leaving them in ruin. The Kythes though, continued their domination against the evil men and soon killed them all. They soon discovered the treasures of the Vault they had never opened. They became greedy with all the riches in the vault and civil war erupted until a King emerged to end the violence. Peace had returned to Macroth, as soon the 600 evil men had returned to the continent and were eviscerated by the Kythes. The commander of the humans, whose name was Janter, was thrown off a cliff that is now known as Janter’s Peak. Even with the evil men’s rule ended on the island, It would take thousands of years for the natural jungles and forests to re-grow over the desecrated land. The land once again, had become lost. Even then after the liberation, civil wars would erupt and continue for the next 800 years for the treasure until the newest Kythe King, Taheel, had ended the last Kythe civil war. Taheel forced the several Kythe factions across the continent after his victory against them. These factions soon became the tribes of Macroth and settled in the areas of the land that the Evil men had made into states, but Kythes preferred to call them tribal regions. 300 years after Taheel’s rule, a man known as Mandel, had discovered a small isle near Macroth. This man was from Amreth, an island country that was becoming overpopulated. Soon, hundreds of colonists from Amreth had come to Macroth, and settled on the tribal region that was known as Vestrel as the Evil Men had called it when it was a state. This drove out the tribe of that region back inland. The colonists had settled there for 5 years before any hostilities from the Kythe. The current Kythe king wanted to make peace with the humans, but since most Kythes are greedy, a young Kythe warrior called Cheecrel had started an uprising and killed the old king. Now he plans to destroy the human colonists, and take their treasures.

Appearance: The Kythe has the appearance of a Leopard with a humanoid bone structure, but prefers walking on all fours. Most Kythes are feral, but can be lead by a different breed of Kythes known as "Maculs." Macul Kythes are far more intelligent than normal Kythes, and prefer to walk on two feet. Different features include that Maculs are a few inches taller than the average Kythe, have stripes instead of spots, have a more muscular build, do not have tails, and can speak other languages. The only other known Kythe breed is a Cobal. Cobal Kythes are much stronger than other Kythe breeds, but less intelligent. Different features include that Cobuls are a foot taller than Maculs, have no tail, much larger muscular build, and have black fur. Female Cobuls, though, do have tails unlike their male counterpart. Normal Kythes have a weaker build than other breeds, but still posses enough strength to be dangerous. Average height for a normal Kythe is 5 ft, 6ft for Maculs, and 7 ft for Cobuls. Cobuls also prefer to walk on 2 legs instead of 4. Overall, all Kythe breeds have opposable thumbs. There have been several kings of the Kythes, the last and current known as Cheecrel.

Age: Average lifespan for any Kythe breed is 130 years.

Language: All Kythes are intelligent enough to speak Kythese, their natural language. This language consists of roars, grunts, and other similar vocal tones. Maculs have the vocal ability to speak other languages and were able to learn English from the evil men who had enslaved them.

Tribal Regions: The Tribal Regions were once the states that the Evil Men had formed after their conquest on Macroth. After the Kythese Civil Wars, each tribe of Kythes had settled in a specific state that was now known as a Tribal Region. When the Amreth colonists had settled in Vestrel, they found an old map made by the Evil Men that had conquered the island long ago. This map contained the names of the states, and so the colonists adopted the borders that were already set. Each Tribal Region name comes from the first chieftain of that area. There are six Tribal Regions total. These six are: Rendarrow, Vikarrow, Olukain, Vestrel, Chadvey, and Voltain.

Rendarrow
Tribal Region name: Hamak
History: Rendarrow, or Hamak as the Kythes call it, is one of the six states of Macroth. It is considered a Tribal Region to the Kythe, as are all states. The infamous “Janter’s Peak” is located in this state. This region is compromised mostly of hills and grasslands along with some rocky terrain. There are very few trees in Rendarrow though. The cliffs of Rendarrow are very steep, with anyone likely to die if they jumped off them. This region is home to the Winder Tribe, a clan of Kythe who are best running in the open.

Vikarrow
Tribal Region name: Tarrune
History: Vikarrow, or Tarrune as the Kythes call it, is one of the six states of Macroth. It is considered a Tribal Region to the Kythe, as are all states. Vikarrow is the only state compromised of jungles on Macroth. The region is home to the Eyotrey Tribe, a clan of Kythe that do best ambushing from the trees.

Vestrel
Tribal Region name: To Par
History: Vestrel, or To Par as the Kythes call it, is one of the six states of Macroth. It is considered a Tribal Region to the Kythe, as are all states. Vestrel is filled with the only forest on Macroth. The forest soon grew out of the Region and into Olukain. This region was once home to the Okustar Tribe, who did well at blending in to the environment, until they were driven out by the arrival of the colonists of Amreth.

Chadvey
Tribal Region name: Chy La
History: Chadvey, or Chy La as the Kythes call it, is one of the six states of Macroth. It is considered a Tribal Region to the Kythe, as are all states. Chadvey is believed to be the smallest of regions and is the most barren of Macroth, having nothing but rocks and dirt and one lake. This region is home to the Cheska Tribe, a clan of Kythe that has several Cobul warriors.

Voltain
Tribal Region name: Cheytar
History: Voltain, or Cheytar as the Kythes call it, is one of the six states of Macroth. It is considered a Tribal Region to the Kythe, as are all states. Voltain has nothing but grasslands, a beach, two ponds, and a lake. Voltain is home to the Aquan Tribe, a clan of Kythe that are unafraid of water.

Olukain
Tribal Region name: Taheel
History: Olukain, or Taheel as the Kythes call it, is one of the six states of Macroth. It is considered a Tribal Region to the Kythe, as are all states. It is the largest region of Macroth, compromising nearly the entire inland area. This region contains most of the Felduin River, along with the Weeping Mountains, several ancient fortresses, the Silver Roads, and the Central Mountain. This region is home to the Eehal Tribe, the most powerful and numerous Kythe clan on Macroth and the only one led by the Kythe King. This clan is best at scaling the tall structures and mountains of Taheel.

Other Locations

Felduin River
History: The Felduin River is the only river of Macroth. The Amreth Colonists had named it once they settled there. It starts from the waterfalls of the Weeping Mountains and ends at the waterfall at Dagger’s Cliff.

Weeping Mountains
History: The Weeping Mountains are located in eastern Olukain. The area consists of 3 mountains that each have a waterfall that spews out the water of the Felduin River. The evil men who had conquered the island long ago had named this area.

Janter’s Peak
History: This area is located in the southeastern parts of Rendarrow. The Kythese had named it after they threw off the commander of the evil men, Janter, from its cliff.

Dagger’s Cliff
History: Dagger’s Cliff is located in the southwestern parts of Vestrel. The Amreth colonists due to its strange shape call it this name. This is where the Felduin River ends.

Long Vale Beach
History: Long Vale Beach is located in Western Vestrel. It is considered the longest beach of Amreth territory.

Mandel’s Isle
History: Mandel’s Isle is named after the explorer who discovered it. All that is located here is a lone Amrethian Fort that watches over the colonists’ ships that approach Macroth.

The Silver Roads
History: The silver roads are located mostly throughout Olukain. The evil men who conquered the island long ago constructed these roads as a way to help guide their troops to their forts. They are the only easy way to walk across Macroth. Alternative paths are much to traverse. The roads had never finished completion due to the Kythes rebelling before the workers could finish, and many roads end at the line of their targeted states.

The Central Mountain
History: The Central Mountain is believed to be an artificial structure due to its shape. It contains vast amounts of riches and armor for the Kythes inside of it along with a mysterious gate inside the vault that appears to be indestructable to human weapons. The Vault was never opened until the evil men had done it themselves. This had surprised the Kythe who were forbidden to enter it by their old traditions; they believed an ancient demon had been inside, not riches. The evil men had built a large wall around the mountain with 2 forts at the walls gate in front of the vault entrance. Once the Kythes reclaimed Macroth, many of them had become greedy with the riches inside.

The armor of Cobuls consists of a chain mail vest, metal armbands, metal like gloves that end at the knuckles, and metal greaves that go from the joints to the knees. The armor of Maculs consists of metal chest plates, helmets, greaves, shoulder pads, and metal armbands. Normal Kythe breeds do not were armor though.
