Auxiriërs, people of Holferin

Postby Amroth » Sun Jan 24, 2010 11:14 am

Once there were the twelve gods and one of them was Tali. When Zair Nahal commanded the gods to make their own races Tali made the Auxiriërs. But she forget them and the Auxiriërs thought only about the nature. Never did they harm the nature, except for food, and that was the reason that Leyl, the goddess of nature, started to love her. Every month had the Auxiriërs a ritual for the nature. But when time passed Lomion sended his Orks to destroy Holferin, the wooded island of the Auxiriërs. No weapons the Auxiriërs had in that time and however they tried to fight the Orks, they did lost. The woods of Holferin were burned and the last seventy Auxiriërs fled to the Woodland Valley. Leyl heard about the war and she mourned about the lost trees and Auxiriërs. Her daughter, Lyenä she was called, went with many of Leyl’s race to Holferin and came to the Auxiriërs in their greatest need. There did Lyenä wake the surviving trees of Holferin and marched too war. All Orks of Lomion were killed or driven out Holferin and peace came back to the Auxiriërs.

After that war the surviving Auxiriërs started to grow again and Lyenä was a long time by that people. In the Woodland Valley both the Auxiriërs and Leyl’s race did live. There did Lyenä marry one of the Auxiriërs, and she became their queen. One son did she bare and he was called, Leylon. She build great trees, were the Auxiriërs could live in, and smaller trees, these were lifeless and the Auxiriërs used them for their bows, (these were called Houting trees) in whole Holfiron. After Lyenä did rule fourthy years Lyenä’s husband died, if we belief the prophesies his spirit went to the House of Leyl in the Plain of Good. After that day Lyenä did rule fifty years long till the Auxiriërs were strong enough. She did leave her people and gave the kingship of the Auxiriërs too her son. But before she did leave Esrion she build a great tree (the Tulperon Tree) in the Centrum of the Woodland Valley and this one was used too contact with Lyenä if the Auxiriërs were in great trouble again. After Leylon ruled fifty years (he was then around hundred and twenty years old) he died and his body was burrowed in the Tulperon Tree, the only Auxiriër to be buried. Fifteen kings came after Leylon before the Auxiriërs had split themselves in twenty and four different clans. Some of the clan leaders had still royal blood in their veins.

Appearance:

The Auxiriërs are a simple human-like race, they’re taller than men. They’ve different skin-colours (blue, yellow, green, purple) but green is the most common. The only weapons they have are bows and spears. They only eat fruit and plants, except the blue deepwortel-clan. There lifetime is around fifty years, the descendants of Leylon live longer.

This is exactly the kind of race I was going to invent next. A nature race, with tribes. They have like an Ewok or Na'vi feel.

Since they're on an isolated island, they can have less technology, but strong skills of survival and strong hearts.

24 are a lot tribes and clans. I'd do 12.

Yes, but if there once will come a war with them they still would be still far weaker. They only have bows and spears, maybe small knifes, but no swords or armor. And they doesn't work together since the last king.

24 small tribes is fine imo. Some of them would be close and interact alot, maybe they have trading between them.

I would suggest Native American-like tribe names, such as

Tribe of the Feather
Green Wolf Clan

Or translate those into their native language, which you must make up. At least, that would be ideal.
